Can I get a ballot in a language other than English?

You are able to get a ballot in a language other than English in several areas around the country. In these areas, ballots are required to be available in another language if they meet certain requirements set by federal law. In those places, language translation assistance is also required at the polls for any voter who requests it.

To check if you live in an area that provides these services, we suggest you contact your local election office:

  1. Go to the Election Official Directory.

  2. Choose your State and Voting Region.

  3. Click the tab “Election Official Contact Details” at the top of the page.

  4. Call or email your Local Election Official.
