Many states require you to provide identification when voting at the polls. Some may require a state-issued or a photo ID. What is considered acceptable identification varies among states. Some states do not require ID documents at the polls at all and rely on a signature match. 

To find out your state's identification requirements click in the State Voting Information Directory. Choose your State and hit submit. Then click to open the ID Requirements section. The information will be listed there.
